Small updates

First, my book will be published “during the Easter season.” So, to be on the safe side, I’m telling people it should be available by June 1st because Pentecost is on May 24th.

Last week, I had a video call with two women in the unofficial deaf apostolate/organization of central Jersey. They are going to host me as a speaker for my book and ways to advocate for those who are deaf. That might be in the fall. I have three topics I can present on, and I think I can do a lot with it. They’re considering something like 2 hours especially if there will be a Q&A and book signing. So, that’s exciting.

Also, I submitted my blog post for Cochlear Americas. They said that should be published within 4 months to a year. That’s really cool, because it will give my book some major exposure to cochlear implant recipients. If they’re Catholic? Even better! If not, that’s okay too!

Reaching out to chapters of Hearing Loss Association of America for speaking engagements. I might try another attempt with Deaf apostolates in major cities along the east coast. If not, I’ll search more thoroughly for Deaf churches in major cities. There are also some book stores around me that might be interested since we live near the Virginia School for the deaf and blind.

I believe that’s all for now.

I’m going to keep trying to learn ASL and finger spelling in the least while I wait.

Oh! They were selling this shirt at work, so I purchased one. I absolutely love it. Can’t wait to wear it. ❤️🧏‍♀️🦻
