Bernadette Griffith

Bernadette Griffith is a Catholic writer and cochlear implant recipient whose work explores coming-of-age moments of loss through faith and surrender to God's will. She brings humor and compassion to her storytelling and holds a M.Ed., a B.A. in English Literature, and a certificate in business administration. Living in Waynesboro, VA with her husband, three daughters, and two dogs, Bernadette continues to contemplate the still, small voice that calls each of us to trust God.

Whispering Hope through Hearing Loss: A Woman’s Surrender to the Still, Small Voice is my memoir about losing my hearing and learning to lean on my faith in God. While I did receive cochlear implants after ten years of struggle with progressive hearing loss, it wasn’t a perfect solution, and it absolutely wasn’t immediate by any means.
